Netflix is coming with an adaptation of Japanese manga, written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata in 2017.

Netflix picked up the project Death Note. Further, Netflix has confirmed that principal photography has begun on Adam Wingard project Death Note. This film will shoot in Canada and the U.S. It is an adaptation of Japanese manga, which is written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.
Death Note is all about the story of a high school student who come across a book that possess supernatural powers like if the owner inscribe any name into it, while picturing the face of the person he or she will die. Further, teen gets thrilled by powers and starts killing those he think is unworthy of life.

He wants it to introduce it to whole new audience which comprises of young viewers around the world.
