GIF From A Netflix

You can install a plugin into your Google Chrome web browser and transforms scenes from Netflix titles into GIFs in an easy way. Many people were not aware of this, but now that you know it, you should try out this feature.

Projections is a Chrome extension that allows you to record up to 20 seconds of Netflix series and movies and then convert them into a GIF. To convert your favorite scenes into a looping video, simply install the software in the browser and perform a brief registration.

Then, just log into your streaming PC account and let your imagination (or memory) flow when choosing the scenes for conversion. You can share the animated picture on Facebook or send it to friends through WhatsApp. Here’s how to create your own GIFs from a Netflix series.

Download and register

Step 1. Go to the Projections.io extension page and download it from the Chrome Web Store. You must click “Add extension” to confirm the download.

Step 2. When the installation is complete, you will be redirected to the plugin’s homepage, which contains the video platforms supported by Projections and simplified instructions on how to use it. However, you must first create an account. To do this, click the “Sign in / Sign up” button at the bottom of the page.

Step 3. The browser will redirect to the login page of the extension. As it will be your first access, click on “Switch to Sign Up” to create an account.

Step 4. There are two ways to register for the service: through your Facebook account data or an email. The first way is much faster, just click on the social network logo and enter your profile.

Step 5. Then, in the window that opens, allow the extension to access your profile on Facebook and the registration will be done.

Step 6. If you want to register by e-mail, define a username, enter a valid e-mail address and create a password. Check the “I am not a robot” option and then click the “Sign up” button.

Step 7. Projections will then inform you that a verification link has been sent to your email. The service requests that the message is opened specifically on the computer.

Step 8. Open your e-mail and click on the link sent by Projections to confirm your registration.

Making the GIF

Step 1. Access Netflix normally and choose the episode and scene of the series that you want to record up to 20 seconds to transform into GIF.

Step 2. To start recording, click on the Projections icon located in the address bar. Click the icon again to stop recording if you wanted to produce a video less than 20 seconds.

Step 3. Then the captured video will appear in the thumbnail in the upper right corner of the screen. Click the “Edit & Share” option.

Step 4. Among the editing options, you can change the start or end time of the video, name the clip, include hashtags and a category (to rate the video on the Projections website). Done what you deem necessary, click on “Save & Publish”.

Step 5. You will be redirected to a page with the edited video, in which some options appear to the right of the player. Click the written GIF icon to make the image looping.

Step 6. Select the folder in which to save the GIF in the computer, give a name and click “Save”.

Ready! Now just share the GIF with your friends on social networks and messengers. It is worth mentioning that the extension captures the subtitles of Netflix and also includes its watermark in the lower right corner of the GIF.
