We all know that Netflix allows Windows users to download content from their Netflix account and watch it offline. However, many users want to know how they can find and download the content. We will be shedding light on this particular aspect today.
Netflix’s “Download & Go” function, which lets you download movies and series from the online collection to watch offline, is now available for PC. Through an upgrade to the official Windows 10 app, the feature gives the user the flexibility to download movies and shows and watch them for up to 30 days without the need for an Internet connection.
We have already discussed this particular topic, i.e., ‘download Netflix videos on Windows PC and watch offline’ in one of our previous blogs, but many people are still not aware of the process of downloading videos on Netflix. To be honest, there is nothing complicated in the process of downloading Netflix videos, but if some users are not being able to do it, then they can go through the below-mentioned steps in order to know how to find content to download and get an offline copy to view on your computer.
Let us now discuss the steps in detail:
Step 1. Download the Netflix app on your Windows 10 PC.
Step 2. Not all Netflix videos can be downloaded to the PC. To find a list with all available, go to the side menu and click on “Available for download”.
Step 3. Click the “i” button to open the details of a desired movie or series.
Step 4. In each movie or episode of series, check out the presence of the download button next to the title. Click to start downloading.
Step 5. While the title is downloading, the program displays the progress of the download. Continue to use Netflix normally while waiting for the transfer to end.
Step 6. Download as many movies or series as you want. In the end, go to the side menu and click on “My Downloads”.
Step 7. Find your downloaded movies and series and watch when you want, even offline. Titles are valid for 30 days after download. After this deadline, they must be downloaded again.
Step 8. When selecting a downloaded video, you have the option to watch or delete to remove from memory and save space on your PC’s hard drive.
This was all about the process of how to find and download content on Netflix that you wish to see during the unavailability of the internet. I think the process is straightforward and there won’t be any issue finding and downloading the content if you follow the steps in the same order. In case, you come across any trouble, then remember Netflix help and support is just a phone call away.
There is one important thing that you need to keep in mind, i.e., any video downloaded on Netflix for Windows cannot be played outside the application or transferred to another device. The files are encrypted and can only run in the app when you sign in to your subscriber account. So, don’t try and experiment anything as attempting to play Netflix video outside of the app or on another device could result in suspension of your Netflix account as well.
