If your Netflix is experiencing video quality related issues or downloading problems, then you can follow the steps given in the post. In case, you are using Netflix on your Android device and seeing error 12001, even then, you can follow the steps given in the post to fix the problem that you are facing.
If you are having problems with your Netflix account, this blog may be the salvation to your headache.
There are times when things do not work, as they should. And, most of the time, they have an arrangement. Netflix is a service that works very well. However, sometimes, we can have certain problems that bother us the viewing of this or that series or movie. Here are six problems that occur in Netflix along with their solutions.
Poor Video Quality
This is due, no doubt, that you are not getting the bandwidth required by Netflix to watch the series and movies in Full HD. First, even if it seems a bit absurd, you have to consider your subscription type. The basic does not support Full HD. If you have a choice of high-quality content, try a speed test. According to Netflix itself, to see contents in Full HD you must have a minimum connection of 5MB of download.
Try turning the router on and off if you see that your contracted speed is greater than 5BM and, even so, it is not enough. If your internet is working fine, yet facing the problem, then follow these solutions:
- Select the series or movie you want to watch on your mobile device, tablet or computer.
- Send the content to the television using Chromecast, Android TV or any application to duplicate the screen of the mobile phone on the TV.
You also force the content to always play in high quality if you have a large bandwidth. To do this, you just have to go to your account> my profile> playback settings, as shown in the screenshot above. Here you select “High”.
Unable to download movies on my mobile
If it has happened to you that you have wanted to download a movie or series on your mobile and you have not been able to do so, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
Your phone is rooted: If you have made system modifications, it is very likely that Netflix will not allow you to download content to watch without the Internet. Bring your phone back to the normal state with a tutorial of un-rooting that you will be able to find easily in the network.
If your phone is not rooted: Check that you have the latest version of Netflix. If so, check that you have enough space on the phone. You can free up space by deleting photos that you already have saved or by clearing the application cache in settings > device > storage > Cache.
Android error 12001
If you have ever opened the Netflix app on Android and this error has occurred on your terminal, we have the solution. You just have to restart it and, if the problem persists, delete the application’s data. To do this, go to the Settings > personal > applications > Netflix > storage > delete data and cache menu. Beware, this makes all the downloads disappear from your terminal.
If the error persists, you will have no choice but to uninstall it and reinstall it. At least it’s free! In case, the problem is not solved after reinstalling Netflix app, then you should consult Netflix support providers for precise assistance.
