Step 1. Go to the Chrome Web Store, search for Sufli and click “Use in Chrome”.
Step 2. In the window that appears on the screen, select the “Add extension” option.
Step 3. You will then be directed to the extension website. Click on the highlighted link to access the Netflix account.
Step 4. Choose the movie or series you want to watch. Since the intention is to practice a new language, opt for English subtitles and audio, for example. To do this, click on the balloon icon in the bottom right of the screen.
Step 5. Note that a new icon, named Sufli add-on, appears in the bottom right of the screen. Click on it.
Step 6. An extension window will appear on the screen. In the first option, select the subtitle language and, in the second, the language in which it should be translated. In general, the application identifies languages automatically.
Step 7. Confirm the selection by clicking “OK”.
Step 8. By hovering over a word, it will change color. The app will also display the previous speeches, to contextualize the text, in case the viewer has lost something. To open the translation, click on the word you want to know the meaning.
Step 9. A window will display the translation of the term from three sources: Google translator, Urban Dictionary and Glosbe.com.
Step 10. If you want to change the font, just click the button corresponding to it.
